You are invited to become a part of the Meadowbrook Farmers Market, a community market in Northeast Seattle!

motivated buying community

Why be a vendor at Meadowbrook Farmers Market (MFM)? The site host, on the grounds of the Seattle Waldorf School, has a motivated buying community of nearly 300 families who registered their support for our farmers market in a survey last spring.

The market is located in the densely populated Seattle neighborhoods of Meadowbrook and Wedgwood, accessed by the major corridors of Lake City Way and 35th Avenue NE. There is on-site parking for customers and several drive-in parking stalls for vendors. The grounds are appealing and welcoming. A network of local alliances and advertising will help build up the visibility and first-tier customer base quickly from the start.

education, support, collaboration

We are unique in another important way. The Meadowbrook Farmers Market has education at its core—unlike any other market around. In fact, this may become a premier model for other community farmers markets to support local economies, farm to family food and nutrition, and student learning.

Collaboration has begun to integrate student, classroom, teacher and public participation which will bring new families and school communities to the market for service learning experiences and added vendor exposure to second-tier shoppers. MFM is dedicated to maintaining a sustainable community lifestyle that supports local organic and Biodynamic agriculture and enhances youth and adult learning at the local level.
